Military unit: 1638th TC (POL) Rank: SGT Vehicle: HET systems Location: Camp Taji, Iraq This was our motor pool, staged for the last of our missions in Iraq. Rolling 40 HETs loaded with Iraqi Army tanks to Basra. We had 83 total HETs in that unit and kept most of them on the road throughout the year. The conditions and the drivers were hard on the trucks but, with good maintenance, they continued to run and get the job done.
