Oshkosh Supports Fisher House With Signature Campaign Launch at AUSA

Campaign to Raise $100,000 Follows $200,000 Donation in Support of Military Families

OSHKOSH, Wis. (Oct. 26, 2010) — Oshkosh Defense, a division of Oshkosh Corporation (NYSE:OSK), is showing its support of Fisher House Foundation by kicking off a Signature Campaign fundraiser at the AUSA Annual Meeting and Exposition at the Washington Convention Center Oct. 25 – 27. For every signature added to the signature board in the Oshkosh booth 2639, the company will donate $2 to Fisher House Foundation, until it reaches its $100,000 goal.

“Oshkosh Defense embraces the opportunity to support Fisher House Foundation, as well as the military members and families it serves,” said Andy Hove, Oshkosh Corporation executive vice president and president, Oshkosh Defense. “Hospital stays can take a toll on anyone, but it can be an even greater challenge for military families living far from their loved ones. We applaud Fisher House Foundation’s initiative to bring comfort to these families and are proud to support their endeavors.”

Fisher House Foundation builds “comfort homes” on the grounds of major military and VA medical centers, enabling military families to be close to loved ones during hospitalization for illness, disease or injury. There is at least one Fisher House at every major military medical center, and Oshkosh has already donated an additional $200,000 to help build a new house in the Washington, D.C. area.

The Fisher House program serves more than 15,000 families annually and has made more than three million days of lodging available to military family members since the program began in 1990.
