Chad Frees is the vice president of contracts at Oshkosh Defense. Frees is responsible for contracting policy, processes, operations, and compliance supporting all Oshkosh Defense production and aftermarket contracts serving domestic and international customers. He also leads all aspects of Oshkosh Defense’s bid and proposal development, management, tools and techniques. He serves as the company’s principal representative to industry and government regarding acquisition policy matters.
Frees started at Oshkosh in 1994 and prior to his current role, served as the senior director of contracts for Defense vehicle programs and the director of contracts for joint, U.S. Army, USMC and aftermarket programs.
Frees earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Lakeland College.
