Oshkosh Truck To Sponsor Team of Marines in Major Adventure Race

OSHKOSH, WIS. – Oshkosh Truck Corporation will sponsor a co-ed team of four U.S. Marines competing in the Subaru Primal Quest Expedition Adventure Race™. The race is scheduled to begin September 19 in Anacortes, Wash.

“When we first heard about this team and event, we knew we had to get involved. Not only does this race embody the indomitable spirit and extreme physical conditioning of the U.S. Marine Corps, it also fits perfectly with everything we bring to the vehicles we build. The competitors in this race tackle the toughest conditions and some of the ugliest terrain on the planet, and they do it with an unyielding commitment to conquering every challenge. The similarities between what this event and our approach to building vehicles were too striking not to support these Marines in their cross-country odyssey,” said John Stoddart, Oshkosh’s executive vice president and president of defense.

According to Stoddart, “This is an incredible team, representing the finest the Marine Corps has to offer. We are all honored to support their efforts, and thrilled to be part of this type of competition.”
