OPERATION AND OPERATOR MAINTENANCE (OP)

PRODUCT TRAINING CENTER
The Oshkosh Product Training Center is an expansive 37-acre arena dedicated to vehicle operation and meticulous inspection. This space encompasses state-of-the-art classrooms, complete with cutting-edge technological resources, alongside a dynamic learning lab with component parts, cutaways, and interactive training aids. Students are granted access to the Oshkosh test and development course, where they can partake in custom training designed to surpass military requirements.
OSHKOSH DEFENSE’S TRAINING ACTIVITIES
VIRTUAL TRAINER
Immersing soldiers in a lifelike, secure virtual realm, the Oshkosh Virtual Task Trainer (VTT) redefines training by offering preparation for executing real maintenance tasks. This virtual training element enhances both safety and cost-effectiveness within the broader vehicle training program.
SYSTEM MAINTENANCE AND READINESS TECHNICAL VIDEOS (SMART-VS)
Through a work directive with the Joint Program Office (JPO), Oshkosh Defense has developed System Maintenance and Readiness Technical Videos (SMART-Vs), an innovation to enhance vehicle technical manuals while creating a safe, comfortable learning environment.
Oshkosh Defense has pioneered SMART-Vs to guide operators and maintainers through a series of crucial JLTV processes, including Brake Caging, Jacking & Supporting, and Alternator Removal and Replacement.
JLTV DRIVING SIMULATOR
In collaboration with our esteemed partner, Doron Precision Systems, Oshkosh Defense has developed a cutting-edge JLTV Driving Simulator. This simulator is outfitted with genuine JLTV components, on and off-road visualizations, a spectrum of terrain choices, and an immersive setting of authentic sounds and lifelike motions, collectively culminating a true-to-life JLTV encounter.
