Oshkosh Airport Products Group Awarded Order for 26 H-Series™ Snow Removal Vehicles for Beijing Capital International Airport

OSHKOSH, WIS. (January 25, 2008) – Oshkosh Truck Corporation [NYSE: OSK] today announced that its Airport Products Group has received an order from Beijing Capital International Airport for 26 Oshkosh® H-Series™ snow removal vehicles. The vehicles are specified in two configurations: 24 front-mounted broom units and two high-speed blowers. The order is valued at USD$10.6 million. All units will be delivered by the fall of 2008, and will be commissioned and in service for the entire 2008-2009 snow season.

Opened in 1999 and located 20 kilometers northeast of Beijing’s city center, Beijing Capital International Airport is the main international airport for the capital city of Beijing. “Oshkosh has made a substantial investment in China, and is the only U.S. manufacturer of custom snow removal vehicles with an established business unit in the country,” said Mike Crowe, Oshkosh Truck Municipal Products Group president. “This order is a direct reflection of our company’s commitment to being an innovative force around the globe.”

“This is Oshkosh Truck Corporation’s largest order from the People’s Republic of China, and one of the largest single orders ever worldwide for the H-Series chassis. Our ability to provide the world’s most technologically advanced and innovative snow removal vehicles, plus around-the-clock local support through a dedicated Oshkosh facility in Beijing, were decisive to being awarded this prestigious contract,” added Crowe.

Another key element in the final contract award was that Oshkosh’s patented Command Zone® vehicle control system has been programmed in Chinese at the customer’s request. All operational and maintenance systems are in Chinese.

Developed by carefully listening to customers who operate and manage snow removal fleets around the world, the H-Series chassis is engineered to provide a roomy cab, excellent visibility, built-in safety systems, greater comfort, unmatched performance and legendary Oshkosh reliability.
