Oshkosh Defense Donates $25,000 to True Patriot Love Foundation to Support Canadian Troops

Signature campaign at CANSEC 2014 supports Canadian military members and families

OTTAWA, Ontario (May 28, 2014) — Oshkosh Defense, a division of Oshkosh Corporation (NYSE: OSK), commenced a signature campaign at CANSEC 2014 for the True Patriot Love Foundation. Oshkosh pledged $2 to True Patriot Love for each signature gained until reaching its goal of $25,000 to help support the well-being and morale of Canadian military personnel and their families.

Retired two-star Maj. Gen. John Urias, Oshkosh Corporation executive vice president and president of Oshkosh Defense, will present a $25,000 check to Jaime Wilson, director of development for the True Patriot Love Foundation, in a formal ceremony at the Oshkosh Defense indoor booth #1001 at CANSEC.

“Oshkosh Defense is honored to continue its support for the True Patriot Love Foundation and the important work it does on behalf of Canadian military members and families,” said John Lazar, senior director of global strategic initiatives for Oshkosh Defense. “We know first-hand the many sacrifices that are made by those who serve. We take great pride in supporting organizations like True Patriot Love that provide not only crucial funding, but also essential advocacy for the needs of Canada’s troops and their families.”

The True Patriot Love Foundation seeks to bridge the gap between the military and civilian worlds to ensure Canada’s men and women in uniform, along with their families, have access to the support and services they need. The organization provides funding to military-focused Canadian charitable organizations in three key categories: family health and support, physical health and rehabilitation, and mental health and well-being.

“We are grateful for this generous contribution from Oshkosh Defense and its continued support of service members and their families,” said Bronwen Evans, managing director of the True Patriot Love Foundation. “These contributions are critical to helping support the physical, mental and social well-being of our men and women in uniform that aren’t always available through public services.”

Oshkosh Defense has a long-standing history of supporting military members, both in the field and when they return, as well as their families, through charitable giving and program support.
