Oshkosh Defense Supports Resources for Military Members With Armed Forces Foundation Congressional Gala Sponsorship

Event raises funding and awareness to assist military members and their families

OSHKOSH, Wis. (April 5, 2011) – Oshkosh Defense, a division of Oshkosh Corporation (NYSE:OSK), is supporting the Armed Forces Foundation (AFF) as a sponsor of its 7th Annual Congressional Gala, held April 6 at the Ronald Reagan Building in Washington, D.C. The event will honor nearly 200 injured military members who will be in attendance and celebrate the 10-year anniversary of the AFF.

“As a company we go to great lengths to provide the best products and services possible to troops so they may safely complete their missions Ð but our commitment to military members doesn’t stop in the field,” said Andy Hove, Oshkosh Corporation executive vice president and president of Oshkosh Defense. “Supporting troops when they return home is equally as important, which is why we are honored to support the AFF in its mission to provide military members and their families with a range of services to help them in times of need.”

Donations raised through the gala will benefit the AFF and its wide range of assistance, including financial support, career counseling, housing assistance and recreational therapy programs for service members and their loved ones. Out of every dollar donated, 94 cents goes directly to the military community.

“Oshkosh Defense has been an ongoing partner of the Foundation and has provided a great deal of support over the past several years,” said Patricia Driscoll, president and executive director of the Armed Forces Foundation. “They go far beyond merely paying lip service to supporting the troops. Without supporters like them, our foundation couldn’t exist.”

In 2010, Oshkosh and the AFF partnered to sponsor Rumble With a Cause, a nationwide sweepstakes that raised more than $150,000 for the AFF and awarded two grand prize winners with custom-painted motorcycles.

Oshkosh Defense has a long-standing history of supporting military members, both in the field and when they return, and their families through charitable giving and program support. The company has partnered with organizations such as Fisher House, USO, Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS), Wounded Warrior Project, Our Military Kids and others. Oshkosh also actively recruits from the military and currently employs more than 300 guard, reserve and retired military members.
