OSHKOSH, Wis. (September 27, 2017) – Oshkosh Defense, LLC, an Oshkosh Corporation (NYSE:OSK) company, announced today that the U.S. Army Contracting Command – Warren (ACC-WRN) has placed two additional orders for a total of 148 Family of Medium Tactical Vehicles (FMTV) valued at more than $36 million.
“Our soldiers rely on the Oshkosh FMTV vehicle every day, at home and abroad, for both combat and relief missions,” said Pat Williams, Oshkosh Defense Vice President and General Manager of Army and Marine Corps programs. “As we’ve witnessed recently during domestic hurricane relief efforts, our service members rely on the highly capable Oshkosh FMTV to positively impact the lives of our citizens and their communities, whenever and wherever they are needed.”
Oshkosh Defense was first awarded the FMTV A1P2 requirements contract by the U.S. Army in 2009, which currently authorizes FMTV orders through August 25, 2019. Today’s announced orders were placed under Order Year 8 of the FMTV A1P2 contract, and are in addition to an order announced on September 21, 2017 for 1,065 FMTV vehicles at a value of $260.1 million.
To date, Oshkosh Defense has delivered more than 36,200 FMTV trucks and trailers. Today, the Oshkosh FMTV can be seen around the world, supporting the missions of the U.S. Army and the National Guard, as well as international allies overseas.
