Oshkosh Defense Supports Canadian Troops with $25,000 Donation to the True Patriot Love Foundation

OSHKOSH, Wis. (May 28, 2015) — Oshkosh Defense, LLC, a subsidiary of Oshkosh Corporation (NYSE: OSK), launched its annual campaign in support of the True Patriot Love Foundation at CANSEC 2015. To honor the sacrifices of members of the Canadian Armed Forces, veterans and their families, Oshkosh pledged $10 to True Patriot Love for each signature gained until reaching Oshkosh’s goal of $25,000.

Charlie Szews, Oshkosh Corporation chief executive officer, presented the check to Tracey Taylor, director of corporate sponsorships for the True Patriot Love Foundation, during a formal ceremony at the Oshkosh Defense indoor booth #1001 at CANSEC.

“Oshkosh Defense is grateful for the opportunity to provide continued support to the True Patriot Love Foundation and the positive impact the foundation has on Canadian military members and families,” said John Lazar, senior director of international programs for Oshkosh Defense. “Many of us personally know the sacrifices and challenges that military service brings. It is with great pride that we stand by organizations like True Patriot Love that directly support Canadian service members.”

The True Patriot Love Foundation provides the programs, research and solutions that ensure Canada’s men and women in uniform, along with their families, have access to the support and services they need. The organization offers funding to military-focused Canadian charitable organizations in three key categories: family health and support, physical health and rehabilitation, and mental health and well-being.

“The True Patriot Love Foundation would like to extend sincere thanks to Oshkosh Defense for their ongoing support, as well as their generous donation,” said Bronwen Evans, president of the True Patriot Love Foundation. “Contributions of this kind are crucial in ensuring that our men and women who defend our country are taken care of in the way they deserve. The programs that benefit from TPL funding provide our military men and women support in all aspects of their lives: relocating families closer to critical care, purchasing vehicles for seriously injured veterans, therapies for mental health and wellness, assistance with children with special needs, assistance with veteran transition – to name a few. We need to ensure that we address the numerous needs of today’s veterans and their families, and we are honored to accept such a generous donation from Oshkosh Defense to help us do so.”

Oshkosh Defense has a long-standing history of standing behind military members and their families, both in the field and when they return, through charitable giving and program support.
