Oshkosh Truck Defense Group to Open Service Facility in Jacksonville, N.C.

OSHKOSH, Wis. — May 23, 2007 — Oshkosh Truck Corporation (NYSE:OSK) announced today that its Defense Group will open a 50,000-square-foot service facility in Jacksonville, N.C., just minutes from Camp Lejeune, N.C. The new Southeast Service Facility will help U.S. Marine Corps units reduce downtime and improve overall operational readiness by helping in the service and maintenance of vehicles including the Medium Tactical Vehicle Replacement (MTVR) and Logistics Vehicle System (LVS) vehicles.

The service center will use Oshkosh Truck factory-trained technicians to repair vehicles, perform preventive maintenance, as well as provide parts distribution support to the major military bases in the Southeast, such as Camp Lejeune, Cherry Point, New River and Fort Bragg.

“The extreme demands of Marine Corps missions and their present operational tempo work fleets and their maintainers to their very limits,” said John Stoddart, executive vice president of Oshkosh Truck and president, Defense. “This facility exemplifies Oshkosh Truck’s commitment to troop readiness by leveraging our expertise to help the military return their fleets to peak operating condition as quickly as possible.”

The Jacksonville location will feature service bays, a paint booth and a fabrication shop. Technicians will complement supplemental maintenance programs and provide several additional services ranging from simple repair and preventive maintenance to complete vehicle overhaul and even limited rebuild capability, including:

• New product and minimal rebuild warranty service

• Oshkosh Truck parts support

• Field service technicians/representatives

• Oshkosh Truck equipment training

• Oshkosh Truck hydraulic component cylinder/re-build and hose fabrication

• Oshkosh Truck upgrade kit installations

• Oshkosh Truck body repair, fabrication and machine work

In addition to service and maintenance of Oshkosh Truck vehicles such as the MTVR and LVS, the Southeast Service Facility will also service tactical wheeled vehicles from other manufacturers.
