George Mansfield serves as the vice president and general manager of defense programs for Oshkosh Defense, a position he was appointed to in January 2018. Mansfield leads the business unit serving the U.S. joint program customers, including the Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV) program.
Mansfield joined Oshkosh Defense in 1984. Throughout his extensive career with Oshkosh, he has held positions in program management, operations and engineering. He previously led the development, production and execution of multiple defense programs including Medium Tactical Vehicle Replacement (MTVR), the Family of Medium Tactical Vehicles (FMTV), the Family of Heavy Tactical Vehicles (FHTV), Logistics Vehicle System Replacement (LVSR), as well as the Wheeled Tanker program for the United Kingdom. He previously served as vice president and general manager of International Programs for Oshkosh Defense, where he led the company’s strategy to expand the Family of MRAP All-Terrain Vehicles (M-ATV) as well as the JLTV to serve international markets.
Mansfield holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering technology from Lake Superior State University.
