Mike Power is the segment general counsel for Oshkosh Defense. Power serves and advises members of the Defense Leadership Team and oversees Oshkosh Defense legal, Oshkosh Global trade compliance and Defense industrial security. Power provides strategic legal and compliance support to all areas of the Oshkosh Defense business, including government contracting, international business and supplier relationships.
Power joined Oshkosh in 2008. Prior to his current position, he served as director of government operations at Oshkosh Corporation, vice president of government programs at Pierce Manufacturing and most recently associate general counsel at Oshkosh Defense.
Prior to joining Oshkosh, Mike spent over thirteen years in Washington, D.C. in various staff positions in the United States Congress, including service as the chief counsel to the Committee on Homeland Security in the House of Representatives. He also spent time as an associate attorney at the law firm of Patton Boggs, LLP.
Power holds a bachelor’s degree from Cornell University and his Juris Doctor from The George Washington University Law School.
