Travis Schmuhl

Vice President & General Manager, Global Operations

Travis Schmuhl is the vice president and general manager of global operations for Oshkosh Defense. Since October 2022, he has been responsible for Defense Operations, Global Purchasing, Quality, and Aftermarket Parts/Service Support. Travis previously served as the vice president of Global Purchasing, supporting all Strategic Sourcing, Subcontracts, New Product Development and Tactical Purchasing.

Schmuhl began his career with Oshkosh Defense in 2005 as a product manager supporting Marine Corps and International programs in Global Product Support. He has held several positions in multiple functions within the Defense organization supporting numerous product lines including M- ATV, FMTV and JLTV.

Schmuhl holds a bachelor’s degrees in mechanical design and technology education from the University of Wisconsin – Stout. He has also served as an executive board member of the Wisconsin Procurement Institute.
