Oshkosh Truck Defense Group to Open Logistics Facility in California

OSHKOSH, Wis. — October 16, 2007 — Oshkosh Truck Corporation [NYSE:OSK] announced today that its Defense Group will open a 12,000 square foot logistics facility in Oceanside, Calif., just minutes from the Camp Pendleton Marine Corps Base. The new Oceanside Regional Logistics Center, scheduled to open in November, will help U.S. Marine Corps units reduce downtime and improve overall operational readiness by assisting them in the service, maintenance and training of vehicles including the Medium Tactical Vehicle Replacement (MTVR) and Logistics Vehicle System (LVS) vehicles.

The logistics center will use Oshkosh Truck factory-trained technicians to repair vehicles, perform preventive maintenance, as well as provide parts distribution support to the major military bases in the Southwest, such as Camp Pendleton Marine Corps Base, Miramar Marine Corps Air Station, Yuma Proving Grounds, Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center at Twentynine Palms, Naval Sea Port Hueneme Surface Warfare Center and the Army’s Fort Irwin.

“The Oceanside Regional Logistics Center will open next month to meet the military’s increased maintenance demands,” said John Stoddart, Oshkosh Truck executive vice president and president, Defense Group. “The location and timely opening will help support U.S. soldiers, sailors and marines, and improve their overall operational readiness.”

The Oceanside Regional Logistics Center will feature service bays and a fabrication shop. Technicians will provide supplemental maintenance programs and services ranging from simple repair and preventive maintenance, to vehicle overhaul and even limited rebuild capability, including:

— New product and rebuild warranty service

— Oshkosh Truck parts support

— Field service technicians/representatives

— Oshkosh Truck vehicle training

— Oshkosh Truck hydraulic component cylinder/re-build and hose fabrication

— Oshkosh Truck upgrade kit installations

— Oshkosh Truck body repair and fabrication

In addition to service and maintenance of Oshkosh Truck vehicles such as the MTVR and LVS, the Oceanside Regional Logistics Center will also be capable of servicing all other tactical and military wheeled vehicles.
